Patricia Piccinini inspired image

Mummy Alex visits Flinders street with her babies
In this image i used my own city photo as the background. I cropped alex's face out of another photo and blended it, using the eraser, smudge and blur tools, into another person. I then used the lasso tool and the background eraser tool to erase the mole rat's background. After that I copied alex's eyes and nose onto the mole rat and then used the blur and smudge tool to blend it onto the mole rats face. i copied these two and used the transform tool to make it a smaller mole rat child.

This is inspired by patricia piccinini because it involves the inhumane mix of baby and animal.

This shocks me

These photographs are from a 14 photograph collection of images of anorexic models called 'Thirty- two Kilos' by german photographer Ivonne Thein. The collection was taken to highlight the link between high fashion and anorexia in young men and women. While the eating disorder that these people suffer from is horrible and how small they re shocks me, I admire Ivonne for the bold and daring artworks.

Inspires me

These photographs by nicole Bentley of model Abbey Lee Kershaw inspire me for many reasons. I dream of being a fashion photographer and Nicole Bentley is an idol of mine, I also love sunlit photographs which has been used here. It inspires me to go out and experiment with my own photography of models.. aka my friends.

Surrealist Landscape photoshop Image- Impending Doom

This photoshop image is entitled 'Impending Doom' I started with the image of the tornado and road, used transform and the different lasso too erase the background, also used the eraser and magic wand tool to select the background of images, delete it to make sure all i have is my image. The three lightning bolts are actually all the same image but i used transform, rotate, erase and duplicating the image.
I used an understanding of how layers work to put the road in front of the volcano and fire to make sure it looks like a real perspective. I used the brush and and airbrush tool to draw the smoke from the fire and the volcano, I also used this tool to draw the crack in the road.
